Need add content to a course in a hurry? Follow these steps to add a module, a page, and upload a file.

Step by Step Instructions

Hover your mouse over the name of the module you wish to move
An up-down arrow will appear to the left of the module name[
Click the up-down arrow next to the module name
A cross-haired arrow will appear. Drag the module to the new location on the page.

From the Modules tool, click on the "+ " on the right side
From the drop-down menu, select a Page in the course or click on [New…] and name the Page
Click on the "Add Item" button to add it to your module

Click the title of the page you wish to change
Click the "Edit" button to make changes to the page
Add content to your page by typing in the content area, just like in a Word document.
Click the "Save" button to save your changes

Choose where you want to add content. Left click with your mouse in that location.
Go to Insert.
Select Document.
Choose the file on your computer
Press submit.
Add any additional content
Press Save and Publish

If your students can’t see your module or pages, you may not have published them.

To save and publish your page in your course, click the "Save & Publish" button
To publish the module, selcet the checkmark on the top right of the module in the listing. It will turn green.
A green check mark indicates a Module or piece of content is published.

It is important to test your content before students see it to make sure it looks the way you intend it to look.

Here are the simple steps to preview and leave the student view in Canvas LMS from Instructure:

Look at the top right of your Canvas course page. You will see a button that says, "Student View"
Click this "Student View" button. Your screen will change to show you what a student would see in your course.
To leave student view, look at the bottom right of your screen. You will see a button that says, "Leave Student View". Click this "Leave Student View" button. Your screen will change back to the normal instructor view.
